Our Goal is to:

Start the Conversation

Your faith and your mental health are not in opposition to one another. Our goal is to identify the ways that caring for our mental health intersects with spiritual growth.

Reduce the Stigma

Mental illness is a reality inside and outside the church, but it isn’t something we need to be ashamed about. And it doesn’t indicate spiritual weakness.

Find Support

Our goal is to connect people who need help with the agencies that offer it and assist churches who want to support their members who have mental health concerns.

Why?

The Rochester Faith and Mental Health Project was born out of an internal struggle to navigate the complexities of being a faith leader who was in need of mental health support. This led to a deep desire to connect faith communities with mental health resources.
